Zusammenfassung: Aus der ehemaligen Benediktinerabtei Rheinau ist ein Evangeliar des 9. Jahrhunderts überliefert, das eine größere Anzahl an eingeritzten althochdeutschen und lateinischen Glossen enthält. In der Erforschung dieses Korpus herrscht ein großer Nachholbedarf. Der Beitrag präsentiert die Resultate einer Neuuntersuchung und strebt dabei eine umfassende Darstellung an, die nebst linguistischen und glossierungsfunktionalen Fragestellungen auch paläographische Einzelfragen sowie den Überlieferungskontext aspektreich einschließen soll.

Abstract: A Gospel book from the 9th century has come down to us from the former Benedictine Abbey Rheinau. It contains numerous scratched entries, including a large number of Old High German and Latin glosses. As far as their research is concerned, there is a lot of catching up to do. The article presents the results of a new investigation and aims to provide a comprehensive presentation that, in addition to linguistic and functional questions, should also include individual paleographic questions and the context of tradition in many aspects.
